            DZi beads, also known as “heaven’s beads”, is a kind of rare germ in Tibet, Eastern Tibet, Kingdom of Bhutan, Sikkim, Ladakh, and other Himalayan area. DZi Bead, recorded in the ancient literature as “Nine-Eyed Stone DZi beads”, containing jade and agate elements, can be divided into meteorite and nine-eyed stone shale and chalcedony, is one of the seven treasures of Tantrism in Tibetan Buddhism. The Tibetan people still hold the idea that DZi Beads is Stone Descended from Heaven. DZi Beads is pronounced DZI in Tibetan language, meaning happiness, morality and fortune, otherwise referred to Meiziga in Sanskrit. DZi Beads originates from the Tibetan’s worship to stones. Paleolithic sties found in Karuoqu Site, Nagqu Prefecture, Shuanghu Region have totally subverted the argument that Tibetan people were migrated from other regions. The archaeology findings have proven that the Tibetan people had created brilliant Zhang Zhung civilization (18000) since Palaeolithic Age and Neolithic Age, and begun living in the depopulated zone.



           DZi Beads, as a signature of ancient civilization, is a holy article for Tibetan people to worship deities, and more, as a special article dedicated to Buddha to pass on from generation to generation. DZi Beads absorbs the essences of the sun and the moon; records the cycles of life, and witnesses the merits and virtues of the great achiever. As a Buddhist article and religious instrument for protection, DZi Beads has traveled the space and time of human history. The ancients held the notion that heaven was above all, so they drew the spells and totem patterns (the patterns of DZi Beads nowadays) recorded in the ancient literature Vedas on the stones so as to enhance spiritual (soul) awareness. According to the records of Vedas, the ancient people turned to deities for blessing due to the effects of geographical environment and natural disasters. As a result, DZi Beads were created as a major invention of medical treatment in ancient civilization. DZi Beads were used for healing purposes and drawn on with totems of spells to obtain the protection and blessing from the deities and Buddha. DZi Bead is pronounced DZI in Tibetan, meaning happiness, morality and fortune, otherwise referred to Meiziga in Sanskrit. DZi Bead is viewed as the ornament worn by deities, and strongly believed to be “heaven pearls” as the most precious amulet.
